What Can You Do To Prevent Sweating

Sweating is common among us. There are plenty of reasons for why we sweat. But the best explanation for why we sweat is because of the way our bodies are wired to adapt to the different environmental temperatures.

When it is cold outside, our bodies react by producing heat. However, when it is hot our bodies sweat to cool us off.

However, there are some people who sweat more than others. This may be due to the hyperactivity of their sweat glands. This is often a hereditary condition which you get from your parents or ancestors. But there are plenty of ways where one can limit perspiration through natural means.

In order for you to prevent sweating, you have to be willing enough to cut back on your coffee consumption.

I know that there is nothing like hot coffee early in the morning to start your day but the problem with that is caffeine and sugar, two ingredients found in your coffee, are stimulants that make your heart beat faster, elevate your temperature and make you sweat.

Another way for you to prevent sweating is to limit on your alcohol intake. You shouldn’t go overboard with drinking too much alcohol especially if you don’t want people to see that you are sweating profusely. Alcohol elevates your body temperature which also accounts for why you turn red. This makes you sweat still.

Finally, your problem may stem from the fact that you have too much fat tissue and that you should start getting rid of them. Our fats act as heat insulators. They are there to produce heat whenever we feel cold. Do you ever wonder why a fat person rarely feels cold unlike a very thin one? If your problem is on sweating too much, you might need to lose weight.

Lastly, you should always use antiperspirants after you take a shower. There are so many antiperspirants now that you can choose from.

You will find that these antiperspirants contain chemicals like aluminum chloride. Aluminum chloride inhibits your sweat glands from producing sweat.

How to Prevent Excessive Sweating?

If you are suffering from excessive sweating, there are several effective ways to prevent excessive sweating, although some of them are more radical and expensive. You should always try natural methods first and see if they work for you.

Topical treatment methods are commonly used for palm and feet sweating. They usually do not last very long and will need to be constantly repeated. Topical treatments prevent excessive sweating by closing off the sweat ducts underneath your skin, and stops sweat from reaching the surface. One online guide containing a home remedy called Stop Sweating and Start Living has helped me deal with excessive sweating naturally.

One method of topical treatments is to use local anesthetic. It is not commonly used, and works by interrupting your nerve conduits and slow down sweating when applied over the affected area. Another topical treatment is the use of glutaraldehyde. It is typically applied three times a week for the first two weeks, and then once a week after.

Antiperspirants are effective for most people who suffer from mild excessive sweating. It contains aluminium chloride solution that works by blocking the sweat ducts in your skin surface, preventing it from coming out of the skin surface. The aluminum chloride in antiperspirants is generally safe to use, although some people have complained of side effects. These side effects include itching and rashes around the applied area. They can also be expensive because you’ll need to use them repeatedly due to their short term effects.

Besides these treatment methods, there is also a natural remedy method that, when applied consistently, has cured my excessive sweating problem. It involves using readily available products at home that are applied every morning and night. You can find out more about his method by following the link below.

How to Stop Excessive Underarm Sweating?

Excessive underarm sweating is a condition whereby a person sweats excessively in the armpits. For most sufferers of this condition, unpleasant odor is also experienced. I had personally suffered from excessive underarm sweating, and it almost sent me into depression. Not only did it cause me social embarrassment, it also destroyed my self esteem.

To stop excessive underarm sweating, one must first know the reasons that are causing his or her sweating. For most people, it can be genetic or inherent. This condition is also known medically as axillary hyperhidrosis.

Today there are many treatment methods to stop excessive underarm sweating, but they all have their drawbacks. I have personally tried many treatment methods, but my condition was so severe that most of the methods I tried produced very little results.

Over the counter and prescription antiperspirants have been used by many to stop mild underarm sweating. It contains chemicals like formalin, glutaraldehype and aluminium chloride that prevent sweat from reaching the skin surface, by blocking the pores at the surface of the skin. They do come with side effects though. On top of causing skin irritation in some instances, it needs to be applied over and over to achieve its effect. It is therefore, not a long-term solution, and could be very costly over time.

Another treatment method is iontophoresis. It involves the patient immersing the affected part of the body into tap water, while mild electric shocks are sent through it. This method is not recommended for pregnant women, cardiac patients and epileptics. It is also not the best treatment to stop excessive underarm sweating, and may not suitable for everyone.

Botox injections, which is only approved for underarm sweating, is another option. It involves injecting botulinum toxin into the underarms to stop the release of acetycholine, and as a result stop the excessive sweating. The drawbacks of botox injections are mainly its limited effect, and the pain that the patient experiences. It usually requires repeated injections every 6 months, therefore might be too costly for most people. It does have a very high success rate though.

The most drastic method to stop excessive underarm sweating is surgery. It should only be used as a last resort. There are basically 2 forms of surgery. The first form is clipping, which involves putting a titanium clip across the sympathetic nerves to disrupt the nerve signals to the sweat glands. The other form of surgery is cutting, which involves cutting the nerves with a scissors. This may cause compensatory sweating, which is sweating in other areas of the body after the underarm sweating is cured. It can potentially damage the tissues and nervous structures, and may cause neck pain or internal bleeding.

If you want to stop excessive underarm sweating with a simpler method, you might want to try a natural remedy method that I have personally used successfully. It involves using readily available products at home that are applied every morning and night. If you want more information about my experience, you can follow the link below to find out more.
