Hugh looks like a fusion of Brian May and Kirk Hammet
Why is everyone only talking about Hugh? Yes, I know he’s awesome and funny, but Stephen Fry is the brains of the duo. He’s the one who probably wrote most of these skits. Shame on you, just because Hugh is House.

@CrazyycclowN But Fry is doing fine in the UK at the moment. He’s got his own comedy panel show called “QI”. It’s very good if you haven’t seen it.

you know the most important word in what you just wrote was “probably”. you dont actually know and are therefore just as biased towards his highness SF as others are towards HL.

Bias is taking a side without any obvious evidence. The obvious evidence in this case is that Stephen Fry is the intellectual and has the most experience in literature. So my very probable guess would be that Fry is the one who writes the sketches. Completely unbiased, only logical.
actually stephen fry said in an interview that alot of people think he is the brains of the pair and such and its not true.

and there was another interview where they said they would trade off the sketches when they got frustrated. so they both wrote about half.
though i agree its annoying when people know laurie only from house.
Americans only know House because Laurie’s other outings in American theatre and performance have all either been for juvenile audiences, or in such degrees that he’s been insignificant. And to be fair, he’s sodding brilliant as House.
They are both awesome. Final.
@CrazyycclowN Yeah, there is such tendency, although I wouldn’t say that Fry was dominating the duo.
you can’t really take what you see of Hugh in these sketches as ‘evidence’ of his mental capacity as he clearly acts like the idiot of the group. But that’s all it is, acting. He is a very intelligent man in real life. He went to Eton and Cambridge and has a degree in archaeology and anthropology. So to say Stephen is the only intellectual of the two is ridiculous, when they are both extremely clever men.

Fry and Laurie are both extremely intelligent men, and I wish they had stuck together like Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant did when Gervais’s career took off.
