For fuck’s sake, you’re missing the point. Above you say “I doubt you could do better.” I didn’t claim that I could, I just have a good nose for shit comedy, and this my friend, is shit comedy.
@JerryM0rris you have a good nose for shit comedy? are you an agent? a tv producer? if so you must be incredibly bad at your job because this is funny to some people and they pay money to watch it..see some people get it. not you….other people….you know…..people with a bit of creativity.
If you find it funny, fair enough, but I can’t help but think that The Boosh is a fashion accessory more than anything. I think it’s a case of the the Emperor’s new clothes; you can point out to fans of the show, “This comedy is crap, there’s nothing remotely funny there”, and they’ll say something like “You just don’t get it, you aren’t creative enough”.
fair point. i think the third series got a bit too self referential and could also be accused of being what you call a fashion accessory but there is genuine wit in there along with the playful aspects that many people enjoy (even those who don’t necessarily watch it just to see what noel will wear next).
it is all about personal preference. There is subtle comedy, there is witty comedy, and there is slapstick or “stupid” comedy. I find the mighty boosh funny because of how contrary to what one would consider normal it is. You can say it is shit comedy all you want but that doesn’t make it any less funny to those who appreciate it.
Funny how people don’t like this kind of comedy… yet watch it… i mean how retarded is that? ppft trolls…
