There comes a point in a backflip after which you are committed. It looks like he passed that point, then decided to lay down instead.

That guy got like no air whatsoever. I can’t do a back flip and even I know that. He needs at least 3 times the air he got. It looked more like he tripped than jumped to be honest… >_>
